The Cedars of Chapel Hill, an upscale retirement community is currently seeking Health Center Dietary Aide. The Health Center Dietary Aide is responsible for preparing and serving therapeutic diet trays to health center Members in accordance with posted therapeutic diet menus. Prepare therapeutic food items as required. Serve meals in the health center in compliance with Member preferences and diet orders. Serve room delivery trays. Monitor acceptance of meals and offer substitute food items for those not well consumed. Assist with tray set-up for Members during all meals. Prepare both health center dining rooms for service, and break down after meals for 3 meals a day. Wash all dishes and pots after each meal and as necessary throughout the shift. Stock items in kitchen, dining rooms, nourishment room, and break room as necessary. Distribute and assist Members in the completion of weekly menus. Complete daily menus for kitchen use in a thorough, timely and accurate manner. Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Per Diem Position
The Cedars of Chapel Hill, an elegant continual care retirement community is looking for an RN Case Manager for our Home Care Department.
The RN Case Manager is responsible for the initial assessment of the client/family for acceptance for home care services within 48 hours of admission or per state regulations.
Job description includes:
– Having the responsibility for the observation, assessment, nursing diagnosis, counsel, care and health teaching of the ill, injured or infirm, and the maintenance of health and prevention of illness of others.
– Completing initial nursing assessment within 24 or 48 hours (per state regulations) of client admission and prepares care plan.
– Explaining all procedures, treatments, and medications to client and family, as appropriate.
– Charting progress notes, reviews client status and care provided. Provide progress notes to the patient’s physician or podiatrist about patients under care when the patient’s conditions change or there is a deviation from the plan of care or at least every sixty days.
– Maintains current CPR certification and demonstrates the ability to initiate and direct Life Support measures where required.
Must be a licensed RN in the State of North Carolina. CPR certification is required.

Provides food and beverage items as required. Serves meals in the dining rooms in compliance with Member preferences and orders. Stocks items in kitchen, dining rooms, wait stations, kitchen wait station, and break room as necessary. Demonstrates the skills and techniques of fine dining service. The Club House Back Wait Staff is responsible for serving meals to Members in the casual, formal, bar, bistro and private dining rooms. Deliver meal to member’s homes. Assist in cleaning and resetting tables, pouring water and serving bread, provide support in the kitchen (stocking, running food, etc…), and breaking down trays at dish station.
Previous experience in restaurant or retirement community food service preferred.
